Friends of the Library are dedicated to support and promote the library in the community. These volunteers assist by providing advocacy and supplemental funding for public programming and outreach programs to enhance the Library experience.

The Friends of the Monmouth County Library are a volunteer-driven, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting, enhancing, and promoting our libraries within the community.
We are actively seeking new members! As a Friend, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our activities and connecting with our four focus branches. For just $20/person (or $30/family), your annual dues will help us continue to sponsor free events, concerts, and educational programming, award scholarships to library staff, maintain the Friends book sale fundraiser, provide critical supplies and equipment, and much much more. The Allentown Public Library Association (APLA) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization run by a board of volunteer trustees. We are a separate organization from the Monmouth County Library system, which operates the Allentown Branch in a former church owned by the APLA at 16 South Main Street, Allentown, NJ. Our funds are generated from municipal contributions and private donations and used to preserve and maintain the former church that has been home to the Allentown Library since 1973.
Prospective trustees are always welcome at our monthly meetings. Meetings are generally held the first Wednesday of each month.

Our group is committed to supporting the dedicated Atlantic Highlands Library staff in their efforts to be an enriching community resource to all residents.
Meetings are held the first Thursday of every other month at 5 pm in the Atlantic Highlands Library Activity Room. Please contact the library for the next meeting date.
Donations: We accept all donations, big or small, 365 days a year. Our members pay annual dues of $20. If you’d like to make a donation or become a member, we accept Venmo (@ahfriendsoflibrary) and PayPal (Friends of the Atlantic Highlands Library). Or, stop in the branch anytime!
The Friends of the Colts Neck Library is a volunteer organization whose purpose is to aid and enhance the library’s development and to sponsor social, cultural and educational programs for the benefit and enjoyment of residents.
The Friends sponsor a semi-annual book sale, and other events at the library. The Children’s Learning Garden, adjacent to the library, is a special project of the Friends and the community. Please follow them on Facebook @childrens_learning_garden for further information and updates.
To support the Friends donations can be placed in the red box in the meeting room, hallway, or given to the Librarian upstairs. Cash or checks with a minimum of $25 made out to The Colts Neck Library Foundation. Personalized engraved bricks are available for purchase to be inlaid on the library pathway. Forms can be found at the Reference Desk.

The Friends of the Hazlet Township Public Library is a non-profit organization that meets monthly at the Hazlet Library to plan special events and plan fundraisers.
Donations: Book donations can be brought in person to the Circulation Desk. Monetary donations can be made by check and given at the library. Refer to the flyer for details.

The Friends of Howell Library is very active with the library and has funded numerous projects and events over the years. They are always looking for more members to be involved!
We have a large ongoing book sale, called “The Book Nook,” where community members can donate items and buy items very cheaply. The money generated from that fund concerts, performances, programs, and library improvements. They also occasionally receive monetary donations from community members that help fund the above mentioned things.
Board of Trustees, which shall consist of the Mayor, the Superintendent of Schools and five citizens to be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council.
Monetary donations can be sent to the Trustees of the Marlboro Free Public Library or by calling the library directly at 732-536-9406.
The Friends of the Ocean Township Library is an all-volunteer, member supported, 501(c)3 non-profit organization incorporated in the State of New Jersey. Our mission is to maintain an organization of persons interested in good library services; to stimulate community interest in the facilities and service of the Township of Ocean Library and to enrich the cultural opportunities available to all citizens of the township and qualified borrowers. We are members of the American Library Association’s United for Libraries (formerly the National Friends of the Library Association).

The mission of the Wall Public Library Association is to support and nurture the activities and services of The Wall Public Library; to foster enhanced understanding and community support of the library’s vital services; and to develop and administer the resources to strengthen the library’s services.
The Wall Township Library Board Association is open to residents of Wall Township upon approval of the board.
